Cambridge Scouts Volunteer at Leatherstocking Honor Flight
ALBANY - Local scouts and leaders from Cambridge Troops 2020B and 2063G had the great honor of assisting with a Leatherstocking Honor Flight on Saturday, October 5.
"We had an amazing experience attending the send off ceremony for the Leatherstocking Honor Flight from the Albany airport." said leader Calli Devlin.
" I had the blessing of being paired with a Marine Vietnam Vet throughout the trip. We even had two WW2 Veterans on board, one of them was 100 years old!" " said Devlin.
Several groups including, but not limited to, the Bennington American Legion Riders joined the send off ceremony, including a bike motorcade travelling with the bus that brought the vets to the airport. PHOTOS PROVIDED
